Committees

Advisory & Policy Review Committee

  

The role of the GDRC advisory/policy sub-committee is to agree on policies for the GDRC and to oversee all policies created (the committee may change policies when it is needed). The committee will be under the guidance of the GDRC Recreation Director. 

Facility & Vendor Rental Committee

  

The purpose of the GDRC facility rental sub-committee is to ensure facilities are suitable and available for the use of a variety recreational activities. The sub-committee will also investigate the development of each of the facilities and create partnerships to access the usage of other facilities. 

The committee will be responsible for all physical structures and land the GDRC uses and organize and maintain the facilities.

Finance & Budget Committee

  

The role of the GDRC Finances and Budget Sub-committee is to oversee and manage the GDRC’s budget, finances, etc. The sub-committee will work under the guidance of the GDRC Recreation Program Director. The finance committee provides oversight by reviewing financial statements and the budget and ensuring that the board’s policies and strategic priorities are reflected in the budget.  

Mixed Slo-Pitch Committee

  

The role of the GDRC Coed Adult Softball Sub-committee is to oversee the summer competition that is facilitated by the Gagetown & District Recreation Council Inc. (GDRC) under the guidance of Softball New Brunswick (SNB) rules and regulations and the GDRC Recreation Program Director. Members are to be appointed by GDRC staff and will be populated by sub-committee members as appropriate. 

Fundraising & Events Committee

  

The purpose of the fundraising and events sub-committee is to organize recreational and social events for the enjoyment of staff, volunteers and members of GDRC under the guidance of the GDRC Recreation Program Director. The fundraising and event committee will oversee the developmental needs of the GDRC and organize events as needed and be responsible for the budgeted funds allocated towards events and fundraisers. To work with staff to establish a fundraising plan that incorporates a series of appropriate vehicles, such as special events, bottle drives, raffle sales, lottery draws, direct mail, product sales, etc.

Programming Maintenance Committee

  

The role of the GDRC maintenance sub-committee is to ensure all areas for recreational activities will be kept up to standards and ensure risk management processes will be practiced. Maintenance will be under the guidance of the GDRC Recreation Program Director. The committee will be responsible for all facilities and land in carrying out all maintenance each facility (physical structures & land) requires. The committee shall supervise and control the facilities maintenance.
